Note: Although our site is in its infancy, our purpose is to be proactive and forge ahead in this area of research, where most others simply wait for events to occur, then report on and analyze them. This results in a circus-like horde swarming around every event that occurs in this arena, not unlike a Keystone Cops movie. We have broken away from that horde and are actively looking for ways to forge ahead. Possibly because of this departure from the norm, the response to Formation Animator, as well as this web site, from the more noteable figures in the "crop circle community," has been markedly hostile. This is the highest compliment: we're doing what they can't. Therefore, the links below are provided without the consent of the various site owners, and reciprocal links back to this site likely will not exist. Since our focus and our purpose is not money and notoriety, a spirit of cooperation is not quite so threatening and deplorable to us.

Crop Circle Archive This is a very efficient, no-nonsense, and complete site linking to detailed records and photos of formations. Thumbnail and popup images are provided, as well as monochrome diagrams, when available. It's common to find new formations reported here that don't appear to be listed anywhere else. This site is an excellent resource for at-your-fingertips information summarizing the latest activity, as well as for researching past activity.

Crop Circle Connector This is currently the most popular site for reporting new formations. When a new formation is sighted, this is the first place to look for details. The site layout is quite chaotic and it can be inordinately difficult to find what you're looking for, but no other site is as likely to be on top of the latest events.

Crop Circle Secrets This site is flat-out awesome. Clearly, a lot of work was put into it; it's clean, professional, and as thorough as anybody could ask for. The site was created by some serious, dedicated individuals (or was it just one person?) For in-depth study of the phenomenon, this is the place to go. It's very well organized and seems to cover every aspect of crop circles. The site operates on voluntary donations and it offers everything under the sun relating to formations. If they don't cover it, it probably doesn't exist.

Earthfiles While not focusing exclusively on crop circles, Linda Moulton Howe's Earthfiles site often reports on selected activity. Linda is very mainstream within the community, so when a related report does appear, it's likely to be considerably more in-depth and professional than might be found elsewhere. You'll have to do some scanning to find related material; the site appears to be aimed primarily at generating income and seems to have no appreciable organization other than chronological.
